2025年7月15日、アトランタのトゥルーイスト・パークで開催されたMLBオールスターゲームは、ナ・リーグとア・リーグが9回を終えて6－6の同点。決着は史上初の「ホームランダービー」によって行われ、ナ・リーグが勝利した。
On July 15, 2025, at Truist Park in Atlanta, the MLB All-Star Game ended in a 6–6 tie after nine innings. For the first time in history, the winner was decided by a home run derby, with the National League coming out on top.
大谷翔平、先頭打者で快打！｜Ohtani Shines as Leadoff DH
ドジャースの大谷翔平（31）は5年連続5度目のオールスター選出。ナ・リーグの「1番・DH」として出場し、1回の打席で中前打を放ち、その後の二塁打で先制のホームを踏んだ。2打数1安打1得点と好成績を残した。
Shohei Ohtani (31, Dodgers) was selected to the All-Star Game for the fifth consecutive time. As the NL’s leadoff designated hitter, he delivered a sharp single to center field in his first at-bat and scored the game’s opening run. He finished with 1-for-2 and 1 run.

山本由伸と菊池雄星は登板なし｜Yamamoto and Kikuchi Sit Out
初選出となった山本由伸（26、ドジャース）と、4年ぶり2度目の菊池雄星（34、エンゼルス）は、登板間隔の調整により今回は出場を見送った。
Yoshinobu Yamamoto (26, Dodgers) and Yusei Kikuchi (34, Angels) were both selected but did not pitch due to scheduling considerations.
“レジェンド”カーショーが登板｜Kershaw Honored as Legend
通算3000奪三振を達成し「レジェンド枠」で選出されたカーショー（ドジャース）が2回に登板。2人の打者を見事に抑え、球場中からスタンディングオベーションが送られた。
Clayton Kershaw, honored as a “Legend” after reaching 3,000 career strikeouts, took the mound in the second inning and retired two batters to thunderous applause.
終盤は大逆転劇｜Late-Inning Drama
六回にナがアロンソの3ランなどで6－0と突き放したが、アは七回にルーカーの3ランなどで4点を返し、九回に土壇場で2点を加えて同点に追いついた。
The NL surged ahead 6–0 in the sixth inning, led by Pete Alonso’s 3-run homer, but the AL fought back with a 3-run shot by Lucker in the seventh and two more runs in the ninth to tie the game.
決着は本塁打競争へ｜Game Decided by Home Run Derby
規定により9回終了時点で同点の場合、両軍3人ずつが出場するホームランダービーで決着。ナ・リーグが4本を放ち、ア・リーグの3本を上回って勝利した。フィリーズのシュワバーが3本を打ち、MVPを受賞した。
As per new rules, a tied game after nine innings led to a three-player-per-league home run derby. The NL hit 4 home runs to the AL’s 3, clinching the victory. Kyle Schwarber (Phillies) hit 3 and was named MVP.

ロボット審判制度も話題に｜Robot Umpires Gain Attention
今回の球宴では「自動ボール・ストライク判定システム（ABS）」が試験導入。打者や捕手、投手が2回まで判定にチャレンジできる仕組みで、いくつかの判定が実際に覆った。
The All-Star Game also featured an experimental ABS (Automated Ball-Strike System), allowing two challenges per team. Several calls were successfully overturned.
ABS制度とは：帽子やヘルメットをたたくことで、球審の判定に異議を申し立て、機械による再判定が行われる。成功すればチャレンジ回数は減らない。
